The Reasons

The reasons to adopt a pet from an animal shelter, rather than a breeder or store:

~ You're helping the shelter
~ You're helping the animal
~ You're saving money
~ You're saving a life
~ Older cats or dogs are more mature
~ They're so cute!
~ You'll make a best friend

The Love

If you love animals, protect them from cruelty and abuse. They deserve the best they can get from us, and it's not being  treated terribly.

The Issue

Animal abuse and neglection is a growing issue, mostly everywhere. Not only is it awful, it takes the lives of innocent animals that have done nothing wrong. Animal abuse IS a crime. It NEEDS to be prevented. It NEEDS to be dealt with. It NEEDS to STOP.

The Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to try and persuade people to try to adopt their pet from an animal shelter, rather than a breeder or pet shop. Too many animals get neglected and abused, therefore they get stuck in an animal shelter. This is also to try and put an end to animal abuse.

Operation: Adopt

The reason for this blog is to obtain research for a school project. It's purpose is to persuade people to (at least) try to get their new pet from an animal shelter rather than a breeder or especially a pet store. Most of the cats and dogs at shelters have been abused, so they may have behavioural issues. But with a bit of love, they'll love you back. Some animals were lost and had been rescued so the shelter wouldn't know if it was abused or not. But to make an animal's life that much happier, I'm sure it would be worth it.
